Trillions of dollars in wealth will be transferred in the coming decades, but many congregations and pastors need help faithfully seeking these resources for God’s work.

That’s why has Converge North Central offered 30 education workshops to believers, churches, leaders and ministries since December 2023. That activity has generated millions of dollars in new, documented charitable gifts for ministries, charities and churches.

The informative gatherings help believers plan their estates based on what God has placed on their hearts. The trainers don’t advocate for donations to certain charities or churches.

The education helps individuals because they end up giving more to their children and charities while often paying less in taxes.

Karin Larson made estate plans to give to Trout Lake Camps, a ministry for youth that goes back to 1947.

Before her passing, Larson said, “Making provision for Trout in my estate plans is a way I can impact the lives of others for years to come in the most significant meaningful way.”

For pastors and church leaders, they learn to think differently about stewardship. A church can have different sources of revenue, such as inheritances and assets like homes, artwork and stocks.

“This is a game changer,” said Jonathan Wicklund, Converge North Central’s interim regional president. “We already know it works and brings significant dollars to churches and other charitable Christ-centered efforts.”

Converge North Central exists to start and strengthen churches in Minnesota and Iowa. Serving over 230 churches, Converge North Central is a partner in building healthy leaders and congregations so they can more effectively share the gospel. Converge North Central works closely with lead pastors, board members, and influential leaders to advance the kingdom and go farther together.
