- About the Assessment
1. Discover
Converge’s Missionary Discovery and Assessment helps you discern your calling and understand your spiritual gifts while ensuring you are mentally and cross-culturally fit for long-term ministry success. The input and recommendations received from the professional assessors can be invaluable your pursuit of becoming a missionary.
It will help you gain a realistic view of life as a missionary. You’ll also discover your ministry style and learn about areas of your life where you might still need to grow.
2. Prepare
Preparing for the mission field is difficult. Raising support, building new relationships, preparing for life in an unfamiliar world and maybe even learning a new language are just a few of the tasks that you’ll have to face. There’s no doubt about it: becoming a missionary is difficult. But it’s worth it.
We’ll connect you to the right opportunity and prepare you to serve with training, fundraising tools and support so you can develop as a leader and effectively share the gospel in a cross-cultural setting.
3. Care & support
Our heart is not just to send you onto the missions field, but to care for you as well. You and those you serve will benefit from your close relationship with an organization that has over a century of experience in missions and the structure to support your calling.
Once you’re on the field, we’ll continue to stand with you. You will have a real partnership with a movement that provides personalized care, such as leadership training, field consultation, child education support, health insurance, a retirement plan and prayer and encouragement, to keep you and your family healthy and effective on the field.
