DEB GUZMAN, YOUR MISSIONARY IN BANGKOK, THAILAND

BREAKING NEWS!

We had a great time of fellowship at Friendship Camp in October. The Word of God was planted in the hearts of the students who attended. The camp was held at a lovely riverside hotel about an hour away from Bangkok. The students were able to get a break from the big city’s pollution and congestion. We are praying that the students who attended, participated, and listened attentively will open their hearts to the Lord.

I have just finished another session of teaching language at Santisuk with Christian materials. One of our Bible stories was about the Crucifixion of Jesus. I showed a short video about the crucifixion to my students, and I believe that it really made a profound impact on them. They have signed up for the next session of studies, and I pray that when they hear even more about Jesus, they will accept Him as their Savior.

One of the girls told me, “Jesus is so amazing for me!” Another student who is a lawyer said to me, “Jesus does miracles. He can do things normal people cannot do! He has power!” It is thrilling to be able to teach them about our Savior.

The Thai Competency Exam scheduled for November has been changed to January 2021. The Thai Department of Education just announced the change of date. So, I will have two additional months to prepare for it.

A student from Santisuk Silom has begun attending our cell group. His name is Monz. I gave him a New Testament. He chats with me every day online. I try to encourage him in spiritual matters. Please pray for his salvation.

My year’s visa expired in August, but I cannot go out of the country to renew it as required. Many borders are closed. The Thai government has continued to give us extensions on our visas, so I praise the Lord for that.

Below are a few prayer requests for November. Thank you for your continued support of this ministry of ours!

PRAYER REQUESTS:

  1. Teaching English at Santisuk-that students will open their hearts to the Lord
