I have spent the last two years training for cross-cultural pastoral ministry as an AT3 apprentice at a church plant called City Church Manchester. God's revival is finally becoming tangible to me and I feel more called than ever to continue in my ministry to see the gospel of Christ reach the lost in Manchester through the local church.
Manchester is one of the fastest-growing cities in Europe, with a diverse population of immigrants and refugees that contribute to over 200 languages spoken. Despite a rich Christian heritage and diverse cultural background, less than 1 percent of Manchester's citizens are Christians!
City Church Manchester exists to plant contextualized missional churches that "invite everyone to enjoy Christ for the glory of God." Alongside partner organizations like City to City UK, AT3 and the FIEC, it is our vision to act as a city center church planting hub directly planting two churches and facilitating eight more church plants across Manchester in the next 10 years.
I will be supporting this vision to see Manchester and the U.K. won for the gospel by directly working with City Church Manchester and our partner organization AT3.
Over the next two years, I have three objectives:
- Grow City Church's membership through pioneering a ministry to invite every person who walks through our doors to enjoy Christ through integrating into the life of our church.
- Train for church planting and cross-cultural pastoral ministry under indigenous leadership.
- Minister through AT3 by recruiting, training and sending the next generation of gospel AT3 apprentices to needy churches throughout the U.K.
Partnership is a powerful tool for the gospel, and I pray that you will consider partnering with me through prayer and financial support in God's mission to the U.K.
