Converge welcomed nine global worker candidates to its Missionary Discovery & Assessment in Orlando, Florida, July 23-25, 2024. This candidate group includes young men and women who are eager to develop in their ministry and cross-cultural experience as well as candidates with familiarity and knowledge in crossing cultures. Each one passionate about seeing gospel movements among the least-reached. We were pleased to work with candidates from diverse backgrounds who are excited to connect with each other.
As we seek to mobilize a global staff that is united in faith and vision but diverse in background, we are eager to see groups like this engage in the process of discerning God’s call on their lives. It is exciting to see how God is moving throughout the Converge International Ministries’ Mobilization Team.
Missionary Discovery & Assessment is a Spirit-led time for candidates to discover more about God, themselves, others and their call to ministry. During the three-and-a-half days, Converge assessors evaluated the candidates for spiritual, emotional and relational health and suitability for serving cross-culturally worldwide.
- Eight candidates received a go. They are ready to serve in cross-cultural ministry with minimal preparation.
- One candidate received a prepare. They need to engage in long-term preparations before serving cross-culturally.
At Converge, we are asking God for a gospel movement among every least reached people group ― in our generation. To see God accomplish this vision, we are preparing to deploy more than 350 global workers over the next five years.
