Three-Year Ministry Plan: Gideon’s 300 – Equipping Pastors in Egypt

“Then the Lord said to Gideon, “By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go, every man to his place.” Judge 7:7
Vision Statement
To see a spiritual revival in Egypt through the transformation of 300 pastors, empowering them to know God deeply, love their families faithfully, and lead their churches to love their neighbors boldly.
Background
One of the Converge ministries is to focus on equipping and encouraging pastors worldwide. Born and raised in Egypt, I have a deep desire to support my country’s church leaders, especially those aged 20–45. The dominant Islamic culture deeply shapes even Christian pastors in Egypt, creating challenges in areas like faith, family, leadership, and worldview. But these challenges aren’t unique to Egypt—they exist for pastors everywhere.
Gideon’s 300 is our targeted initiative to raise up 300 spiritually mature, culturally aware, and mission-driven pastors who will impact not only their congregations but entire communities—up to 60,000 people across Egypt.
Strategic Objectives (2025–2028)

Guiding Principles
- Prayer-driven strategy: Years of prayer laid the foundation for Gideon’s 300 and continue to guide its progress.
- Cultural awareness and biblical truth: Acknowledge the power of culture but call leaders to gospel-centered transformation.
- Multiplication through mentorship: Empowering pastors to lead others through relationships, not just programs.
Conclusion
Gideon’s 300 is more than a leadership initiative; it’s a movement. We believe that by equipping 300 pastors to live and lead in godliness, we can impact tens of thousands of people across Egypt. As one pastor said, “This isn’t just about us. It’s about everyone who will feel the change that’s happening in us.”
Procedure:
Data:
The dataset includes the numbers and names of churches in Egypt, as well as the names, numbers, ages, and areas of ministry of pastors. Additional data is available to support reaching the goal. There is a strong relationship with the superintendent of Protestant churches in Egypt and the superintendents of various denominations.
Phases:
Phase # 1: We presented the vision and select around 300 pastors and leaders, including both men and women. We identify those who want to join us in this vision. We aim to organize them into groups for follow-up.
The phase was successful, and they are still asking about the next steps.
Phase # 2:
Note: Egypt has approximately 19 denominations and about 1050 churches. There are more than 1000 accredited pastors and around 250 non-accredited pastors. Additionally, there are about 360 worship team leaders, with more than 200 serving full-time.
We will select from the pastors and leaders, approximately 300 individuals or more, who will participate in our initiative through a similar gathering as before. These gatherings will be organized by its denomination or may include multiple denominations together. This approach will facilitate addressing specific groups under their respective leaders.
We will collaborate with various denominations like Wesleyan Standard, Baptist, Methodist, Grace, Assembly, and Presbyterian Churches. We may also work with other denominations, though not all can be included.
Our ideal plan is to host two gatherings in 2026. The first gathering is scheduled for February or March, while the second will take place in September or October. Each event will consist of two denominations. Attendees will include pastors and their families.
We will appoint leaders to follow up with pastors who join our vision. We will discuss the methods of follow-up and then implement them.
Phase # 3:
In 2027, we will gather 300 pastors and leaders who share our vision for church revival. We will focus on training and supporting them. The event will be in February or March, or possibly in October or November.
We will continue to train the key pastors and leaders to maintain their progress in their following up with the participants in this vision.
Supportive needs:
We need a budget for books for pastors’ discipleship, and other expenses like small group prayers or Bible Study.
The expected budget need
We will request the churches in Egypt and participants to share the expenses. But tentatively, we can ask for $6000-$7000 per gathering. The total of $12,000-$14,000 for two gatherings in 2026. We can look at the budget for 2027 by next year.
