| We are encouraged with how God seems to be moving in university students’ hearts over the past year. More students than ever before have participated in small group Bible studies. Praise the Lord! There have been times when we’ve struggled to find available rooms at our current English center for Bible studies and classes. The picture below shows the largest room in the center jam packed with students for our 14th birthday party. Often we have to rent a larger space for certain events and always for an English camp. |
In September of 2023 the Lord directed our three agency team to look for a larger space in earnest. For 14 years since the English center opened our landlord has not raised the rent, so there was some sticker shock as we looked at larger places still close to the university! A few different properties were identified over the course of the spring semester, but we realized that the initial budget we had agreed upon was not sufficient. Each of the three partnering missions (Converge, SIM and Avant) prayerfully agreed to work on raising additional financial support so that we could rent a suitable larger space. We’re asking God to provide the necessary funds so that we could move into a larger place in the summer of 2026. Converge’s 1/3 share of the budgeted rent amounts to $1,250 per month.
