Met on a Jet

Jeff & Barb Chapman

Missionary

Recently, while returning to KIX from Narita airport, missionary Chapman boarded the plane ans sat next to middle-aged couple.  He began a conversation, as usual, apologizing for taking up too much space.  The women seated next to him replied that it was no problem.  The conversation continued for the entire flight.  He found out that they live in Osaka in Kadoma, where there is a Rengo church.  He shared that he drives through Kadoma to work in Tsurumi Ward Osaka and sometimes stops at the Washoku Sato restaurant.  She said they live near there and would be happy to meet for lunch sometime.  He shared that one student in the Tsurumi class comes from Kadoma.  He mentioned having lived in Wakayama in the 1980’s.  She shared that she used to live there, too. He shared that he lived near nishinosho station.  She said she grew up two stops away from there.  When he mentioned that he got engaged to his wife on Isonoura Beach, she almost jumped out of her seat.  She shared that she used to walk her dog along that beach every afternoon.  Arriving at KIX they exchanged LINE information and agreed to keep in touch.  It is confirmation that God is working in Osaka and wants the Osaka Project to succeed.
