Hi!
Can you think of a situation in which you let go and put your trust in the one who created you? We used to do that occasionally. Now we remind each other continually who is in control. When we desire to be in obedience to our Father and let Him lead, the release is powerful. The result is overwhelming. Over and over again we have been letting go – as we attempt to control, as we stress of what needs to happen, as we seek to understand. God is so so good. He is faithful and true, bold and creative. He is the potter and we are the clay.
This past month has been challenging. We are being reminded that He who extends grace is enough. For several weeks we’ve been at appointments with hopes of good signs of health. The doctor asked for one more path to check which led to an invasive procedure for Blake today. This week we expect to find out that this concludes the health check-ups. Regardless, amazing progress is taking place for us to arrive in Togo within the next few weeks. We are grateful to be chosen for this calling. It comes with a desire for humility and trust that we receive from Christ. Thank goodness that we have each other to walk beside.
In less than one month, the goodness of the Lord has allowed us to go from 92% to 100% funded! With the 5 partners that committed to this ministry with us in the past few weeks, we have now been given all of the monthly partners that are needed at this time. We are in awe. The two of us celebrated with a dinner we probably haven’t had in 15 years – pizza bites and ice cream (we happily felt like 5-year-olds).
What’s next? For us, we are daily trusting in the Lord with His plans. There are logistics in all places to be sorted before we get on the plane and land in Togo. Please be in prayer for the paperwork and processes to be signed off.
