BRRRRR!!!!!

It was almost noon and we had just finished lunch. We had ended up with some extra time in between meetings on the other side of town and had stopped to grab a quick lunch. It was in the mid thirties when we went into the restaurant and we had even seen a few random flakes blowing around. The forecasters had changed their predictions for the day and had been calling for snow for a couple hours now. Would it really snow? I mean it was Minnesota but…  it was mid October! Well what was a random flake here and then turned into a full scale snowstorm while we ate burgers and fries. We came out to a car completely covered in snow and a temperature that had noticeably dropped during the last hour. The snowfall continued into the evening with a final total of nearly 8 inches! Welcome to Minnesota! Well I guess I can finally check – drive in a Minnesota snowstorm – off my list.

Well we are back in Washington State (thankful to be warmer) after another trip! This time we went to Minnesota where we spent six days in the Twin Cities area. We had several meetings with people from our organization and also met with a couple of new churches. We want  to welcome to our newest church partner, Thai Church of MN! We are excited that they have joined our ministry team. As I wrote earlier we experienced our first Minnesota snowstorm. The weather in Minneapolis was supposed to be in the mid 40’s but when we got there the temperature dipped and we ended up getting eight inches of snow that day! Overall it was an encouraging trip.

In the beginning of October we had our biennial meeting with all of Converge’s missionaries in Asia. We had a wonderful time hearing what other people are doing in Asia! Normally this gathering would have been in person but because of Covid it was on Zoom. We felt so encouraged by what God is doing in Asia and we are excited to be apart of it. Asia is not only the largest and most populated continent but it is probably the darkest and most resistant to the Gospel as well.

We are starting the process of obtaining visas to stay in Thailand! This is exciting (yay progress!) but also quite a task. Thankfully we have help from a fellow missionary in Thailand who has lots of experience with visas.

We haven’t updated you on our monthly support lately but we have been making good progress and currently we are at 68% of what we need to be able to leave! We are excited to be getting closer and look forward to the day that we can purchase plane tickets. We are eager to get to Thailand where thousands die every day without hearing the Gospel.

We value all of you that have partnered with us in prayer and financially. We would love to be in prayer for you and welcome your prayer requests.
