We recently took two high‑schoolers and their mom from our church to visit three Rengo (Converge‑affiliated) churches in Japan—Misono, Shirahama, and Toyohashi Nozomi. The youth and their mom shared testimonies, hosted an egg hunt, and led a variety of fun games. The brother‑sister duo also told the Parable of the Lost Sheep to English‑leaning children—slowly, twice—so the kids could catch the words and phrases.

I was given the opportunity to share Easter messages with both adults and children. Jeff drew people into relaxed, low‑pressure conversations where Japanese speakers could enjoy brushing up on their English in a fun, friendly atmosphere. (He does this more and better than anyone—truly a magnet for connection.)

It was a trip where the high‑schoolers experienced real spiritual growth. We hope our visit was an encouragement to the Japanese churches as well, especially to the younger generation. Praise God for all He did.

３月の終わりから４月にかけて、教会の二人の高校生と彼らのお母さんを連れて、連合（コンバージ繋がり）の３つの教会–御園、白浜、豊橋のぞみ– を訪れました。高校生とお母さんは証をし、エッグハントと楽しいゲームをリード。兄妹の二人は、英語を習い中の子どもたちに、英語で「迷子の羊のたとえ話」をしました。ゆっくりと、２回、子どもたちが単語やフレーズを聞き取れるように。

私は大人と子供に、イースターのメッセージをする機会が与えられました。ジェフはリラックスした、ノープレッシャーの会話で、現地の人々が楽しく英語を磨くことができる雰囲気を提供。（彼はこれが誰よりも上手で、まるで人を惹きつける磁石のよう。）

高校生たちは霊的に成長することができた宣教旅行でした。日本の教会の、特に若い年齢層の人々にも、私たちが訪れたことが励ましとなっていますように。主がなさった全てを褒め称えます！
