Children Understand the Value of a Fair Trade
God promises to give us a life full of joy—a life where we won’t be mean, won’t tell lies, and won’t even get sick anymore. That’s why, when we can’t keep God’s rules, a life must be offered—life for life. So when we receive a perfect life, can we trade it for two pieces of candy or a Nintendo game? The children shook their heads.
Afterward, the children made a wind chime. They strung together driftwood (for the firewood Isaac carried), stone beads (for the altar Abraham built), a bell (for the ram), a heart ornament (for God’s love), and a cross (for Jesus’ sacrificial love). It turned out to be a meaningful reminder of the abundant life we have in Christ.
