Things are developing quickly so we wanted to update you all.  We took care of some key things in the last few weeks.  We purchased plane tickets, applied for our visas to enter Thailand and scheduled our mandatory quarantine in Bangkok.  Lord willing, we will be boarding a plane on March 3!

The visa process has been a bit challenging though. Covid has changed things and made them more fluid.  Because the process has changed due to Covid, we’ve had to figure much of it on our own.  As part of the visa application, we needed to have plane tickets and our two week quarantine in Bangkok booked.  Thankfully, both of these can be changed without a penalty. We are so excited to be this close.  Once our visas are approved, we have to apply for a certificate of entry.  We also will need to have negative Covid tests and Fit to fly evaluations completed by a doctor within 72 hours of departure to be allowed on the plane.

After all of our time preparing, it is a bit hard to believe that it is actually happening!  We are so CLOSE!!! We are hoping to leave on March 3 so that we don’t have to reschedule anything and so that we can get through our quarantine before March 20 which is the orientation for language training. But, it is in God’s hands and we wouldn’t want it any other way. We are confident that we will leave in His perfect timing. Please be in prayer for our visas and for all of us to remain healthy so we can travel on the day that God wants. 

We have a lot to do in the next 16 days before we leave. We have some tough decisions about what to bring and what to leave behind. We are bringing only what we can take on the plane with us. We also have to say our goodbyes. Part of which is saying goodbye to our church.  We are having our commissioning at our church, Sunrise Baptist Church, this Sunday the 21th. There are two services 8:30 am, and 10:00 am PST. We would love to have any of you that are able to join us for one of these services. The early service tends to be less attended so it might be easier to get a seat. If you are not able to make it you are welcome to watch online.
