Hello, Converge family. President Jenkins here. As we enter this Christmas season, a time when we celebrate the greatest gift ever given, the gift of salvation that comes through Jesus Christ, I’m reminded of why we do what we do. The good news is that Jesus has changed our lives and we want to take the gospel of Jesus to those who’ve never heard of him. At Converge, we are a movement committed to starting churches, strengthening churches, and sending out global workers. This is how we reach the world with the great news of the message of Jesus Christ, and through your prayers and faithfulness, we are seeing God move in incredible ways amongst the least-reached people groups of the world. This year, 18 new global workers were deployed, bringing our total to 231 appointed and deployed global workers serving across 27 countries, five continents, and engaging 21 initiatives among the least-reached peoples of the world. We are witnessing first ever baptism among unreached peoples, new deaf believers sharing Christ with others, and even new believers who have met Jesus and are beginning to translate the scripture into their own language. God is moving in powerful ways. I also want to take a moment to speak directly to our pastors and ministry leaders. I know this can be a full and sometimes weary season. The birth of Jesus came after a long journey in an uncomfortable place, but it was there that hope entered the world. So if you’re feeling tired, remember that the same Savior who came to bring light and life is with you now. He understands your weariness and he delights to renew your strength. As we celebrate this season, let’s also remember our global workers, many serving far from loved ones so that others may experience the love of Christ. Let’s cover them in prayer. Let’s ask God to fill them with peace, courage and joy as they share the hope of Jesus with the least reached people of the world. May this Christmas be a time of renewal and joy for you, your families, your churches, and together let’s keep reaching the unreached people of the world in sharing the greatest gift ever given to us.
