The Levant region of the Middle East consists of these countries: Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Israel and Palestine. This region has long been an important part of Christian history. This region still maintains a Christian presence that dates back to the beginnings of the early church. However, the dominant religion in the area continues to be Islam.
As a part of the Great Sea Initiative, we are asking God for a gospel movement among every least-reached Muslim people group in the Levant. We believe that God desires for men and women from every tribe, nation and tongue to follow him, including Middle Eastern Muslims. We are working to share the hope of Jesus Christ in this region to help Muslims meet, know and follow Jesus. We are equipping new believers to be disciples who make disciples and start movements of faith throughout the region.
Our primary focus is in Lebanon and Syria — two countries that continue to suffer under extremely difficult social and economic situations. By partnering with local churches in Lebanon, we are empowering the church to be Christ’s ambassadors to their Muslim neighbors, demonstrating the love of Jesus in word and deed. We are also pioneering efforts to train and equip the recently devastated church in Syria to become catalysts for gospel movements throughout their country.
Pray with us for God to continue to move in mighty ways among Muslims in the Levant. Pray for God to continue to speak to Muslims via dreams, visions and other miraculous means. Pray for followers of Jesus to boldly and passionately share their faith with their friends, neighbors and families. Pray for a gospel movement among every least-reached Muslim people group in the Levant.
