Missionaries: God has lifted us out of the ruins

Bethel International School Philippines

Converge missionaries Paul and Margie Varberg have been serving the Waray people in the Philippines. Their school, Bethel International School, was damaged by Typhoon Haiyan in November of 2013. The storm took the roof, lights, electrical wiring and windows, and blew in the air conditioners. After months of donations and construction, the school is now back in session.

Paul writes, “Thanks to your help, we are getting our auditorium ready for our graduation program on April 26. The rooms that had been silenced and disorganized by the storm are now filled with laughter and happy voices. Our teachers continue to help our students learn to think and to remember God’s love and care, and his plan for their lives.”
