We, Mao & Phoenix lead the Hui Initiative with Converge International Ministries.

God spoke to us about the tremendous spiritual needs of the Hui Chinese-Muslim unreached people-group in East Asia through a Course both of us attended. The Hui number more than 14 million but only 0.01% have been reached with the Gospel.

We are asking God for an unstoppable and sustainable Gospel movement among the Hui people in our generation, where they can meet, know, and follow Jesus in Kingdom communities. To this end, we partner with the persecuted underground  Chinese church network to mobilize, train, send and mentor national workers to bring Christ’s presence into Hui communities. 

Thus far, God has enabled us to:

1. Network with like-minded Hui workers who are involved in reaching the Huis, praying regularly with them. 
2. Directly engage with Hui people in our city and surrounding county-cities, building relationships with them to seek out Persons of Peace in their midst. We have run Scholarship programs for Hui High-School students in a nearby county-city.
3. Host various short-term teams (both local and foreign) to pray over Hui areas; showing them how to engage Hui people in culturally relevant ways. These teams have assisted us in conducting Health Screens and English Summer Camps in Hui communities. 
4. Mobilize, train, send and mentor national workers to Hui communities. 
5. Connect with potential ministry partners who can help us identify and mobilize coordinators, mobilizers, trainers, mentors, and frontline workers.

 How Can You Partner With Us?

 If you are a Converge Church Lead Pastor, you can:

• Adopt the Hui people group in prayer and financially give to Hui-related projects. 
• Facilitate Vision Trips to engage with the Hui people.
• Organize and recruit prayer team members for onsite prayer journeys.
• Recruit, Identify, and Send global workers from your congregations to the Hui people.
