Hi Everyone!
My name is Madilyn Riske, and I am a junior at Liberty University studying Global and Intercultural Engagement and Disability Ministry. Through my degree program, I have the opportunity to spend next spring serving overseas in Estonia alongside local missionaries and global ministry partners. Together, we will support the work God is already doing by building authentic relationships, serving local communities, and sharing the hope of the Gospel. Throughout this time, I will be working alongside the Local missionaries and learning what it takes to be successful in the field long term. Additionally, I will be an ethnographic researcher for Liberty. This means that a lot of my time will be spent building deep and personal relationships with the local people and understanding what about their culture shapes their worldview and identity.
This opportunity is one that I am extremely excited about. My passion for missions grew through previous opportunities to serve with YWAM in Norway and the United Kingdom. During that time, God opened my eyes to the spiritual need throughout Europe and gave me a desire to invest in long-term Gospel ministry there. This internship is more than a semester abroad; it is an opportunity to learn from experienced missionaries, serve the local church, and begin building partnerships that I hope will continue long after graduation.
My prayer is that every conversation, act of service, and relationship would point people to the love of Christ. As I prepare for this next season, I am trusting God to provide spiritually, financially, and through the encouragement of people who choose to partner with me. Thank you for considering joining my support team through your prayers and generosity as we work together to make Christ known!
