For most of my life, I never saw myself as someone who could contribute to global work in any way. Throughout my first semester at Liberty, I felt the Lord tugging at my heart to surrender my yes to whatever and wherever He called me. Since saying yes, the Lord has revealed to me just how deep this calling has been on my heart. I have even been able to look back on my life and see moments where the Lord was softening my heart towards the nations.

While serving on the field, I will be learning the Wolof language and Senegalese culture. I will also be helping in a language center. My goal while in Senegal is to build relationships and engage in conversations with the people of Senegal. I am excited to share my life with new people and make a lasting impact for the Kingdom, even if it may just be sowing seeds.

Since saying yes to global work, I have begun to pray for the local church because I want to see local churches shift their focus to the nations and support global workers more than just monetarily. I want congregations to know and believe in the power of praying for and supporting global workers in many ways. Every believer has a role to play in God’s mission for the nations. I want people to understand the importance of sending and supporting well. After graduation, I plan to aid local churches in learning how to train up, send, and support global workers.
