The Lord has given me a curiosity and deep desire to reach the nations, proclaiming the truth. Since the fall of man, God has intended to restore relationships between him and every nation, tribe, and tongue. I will reach out to real people who do not know what having a relationship with Jesus means. On the field in Senegal, I get the opportunity to join alongside an amazing team of long-term workers who will continue to invest in the community. To connect with people, I will be teaching English as a second language to university students. I will get to build relationships and naturally get to meet people along the way, such as my language learning partner who will be teaching me Wolof. It is commonly said that the Good News spreads at the speed of relationships. With that in mind, my goal is to genuinely, and with guidance of the holy spirit, build those relationships. I will also get the opportunity to interview locals and observe the culture to uncover more about how ministry in Senegal can flourish. Luke 10:2 says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Therefore, as I go, please pray for the harvest in Senegal. Remember the souls searching for the answer and pray that Jesus will be revealed to them.
