Andrew Pillar
Intern
Help Andrew work with local churches in Tokyo to facilitate outreach opportunities and continue connecting believers and fostering fellowship.

Story
I am a student at Liberty University, majoring in Global Studies with a minor in Tesol(Teaching English as a Second Language), which I hope to use someday in the missions field. While I have had the heart to serve for some time now in some way in disaster relief, God has made it clear in the past year of His plan to use me in mission work.
In the Spring of 2024, I had the opportunity to serve at the United States, Southern Border in refugee camps, and through this experience, God greatly increased my desire to reach others in areas across the globe. Through my studies and connections to other students, professors, and missionaries, I have grown in appreciation for different cultures and people groups.
I served with Converge this summer as an intern for six weeks. I have now been accepted to go back for an entire semester this spring. While there I will be partnering with several local churches to conduct outreach events as well as assisting the local churches in several different ways and forming connections with the body of believers there. As I serve the church there, I hope to use the passion God has given me to provide assistance to the local church so the church may grow and strengthen in the grace and truth of Jesus.
