For the last couple of years, I have felt a yearning and desire for Japan and its people to know Jesus. When I first received this calling, I was unsure what that looked like. At the time, I worked at a Japanese restaurant and was learning the language purely as a hobby. God then led me into a 1-week missions trip to Tokyo in October 2025. During that week, I felt the heart of Jesus towards Japan. One that was longing to have a relationship with them, but that was being suppressed by the work of the enemy. Since that week, I have been absolutely captivated by Jesus and what He is doing in Japan. As I pursued this potential calling through prayer and fasting, Jesus led me to spend more time there through Converge.

During this 6-week internship, I will be working with the local church, performing outreach, and working with other missionaries with the desire and prayer for more and more of Jesus in Japan, that He would make Himself known and soften hearts towards the Gospel like never before. My goal is what Jesus wants for His Creation: more hunger for Him. I want people who don’t know His name to see Christ and Christ crucified, that it would stir a hunger to know the name of the One who died and was resurrected to defeat sin and death. It is my prayer that through the work of the Holy Spirit, obedience, and faithfulness, many would come to know Jesus and experience the transforming power of the Gospel.
