Our family had the chance to visit Spain recently and see the many ways that God is working there amongst immigrants from North Africa. Since the majority religion in every North African country is Islam and evangelization there is illegal, there are unique opportunities to minister amongst these diaspora populations in Europe. And there are many thousands of North Africans currently living in Southern Spain.
Our goal is to build meaningful relationships with those whom we will live amongst, Spanish and immigrant alike. Specifically, we want to use art and other creative mediums to connect with those who find themselves isolated in a new country that speaks a new language. Through this intentional community-building we want to present the Gospel to Muslims in Southern Spain.
At the same time, God is working amongst His small but growing Church in North Africa. In the past year we had an amazing opportunity to visit and meet with workers and indigenous pastors in a North African country. We desire to build relationships with these pastors of existing North African house churches and learn how we can best support, equip, and encourage them as they build God’s Kingdom in their own countries.
