“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:1-2

Since coming to know God, our heart’s desire has been to offer ourselves as a living sacrifice to Him in worship. When God brought our paths together, we were committed not to conform to the normal patterns of the world around us. We got married in 2018 knowing God was calling us overseas, but we were unsure of the exact location. Two years into marriage, the Lord began stirring our hearts toward the Spice Islands of SE Asia, a nation where less than 2 percent of the population professes to follow Christ.

In 2023, God provided for our family of 4 to move to the Spice Islands, learn the heart-language of our new neighbors, and share the life and light of Christ. We now serve alongside a team of other believers committed to starting gospel movements among each of the 13 least-reached people groups our team interacts with daily.

Toward that end, our vision as a family is to cultivate a healthier and stronger faith, family, and fellowship among local believers, encouraging and equipping them to make disciples within their spheres of influence. The strategy we are prayerfully pursuing is two-fold:

• weekly Discovery Bible Study with local believers and not-yet believers (to grow faith, family, and fellowship)
• inviting not-yet-believing friends to have spiritual conversations and find common ground (to model disciple-making)

As a team, we are committed to igniting disciple-making movements, using the “business for transformation” model to provide access into closed-off communities. We ask you to pray about how you could partner with us in this endeavor. God may be calling you or someone you know to join us!
