Ken Lippold

Ken (& Emmy)

Ken was born and raised in the Chicago area. He studied at Moody Bible Institute and Wheaton College Graduate School. After working for First Baptist of Geneva, IL for 8 years as the pastor for university students, he and his wife Emmy relocated to Oceanside, CA where he continued to pastor university students at New Song Community Church.

In 2013 Ken and Emmy moved to Liverpool, England to explore church planting and long-term ministry in Europe. It was while serving on the staff at Christ Church Liverpool that the idea for the Alliance for Transatlantic Theological Training (AT3) was born. After a year of serving at Christ Church Liverpool as a volunteer pastor, the church hired Ken as co-pastor and simultaneously commissioned him to launch AT3. Ken now serves as co-pastor of Christ Church Liverpool, Director of AT3, a board trustee for The North West Partnership and North West Church Resources, and on the steering committee for Redeemer City to City UK.

AT3’s Purpose

AT3 exists to enable an influx of trained leaders to strengthen, revitalise and plant new churches.

Problem Being Addressed

Currently there is a shortage of manpower to minister in the increasingly secular culture of the UK, where millions across the country are outside the reach of a gospel-proclaiming church. A fresh influx of leaders with both formal theological training and practical experience is necessary to strengthen and extend the influence of the gospel and growth of the Church.

 Solution Being Offered

AT3’s pathway into ministry develops biblically shaped and culturally relevant leaders, equipped to engage the post-Christian, post-modern culture that is prevalent throughout the UK. After completing AT3’s training program, North American students can choose to stay in the UK to strengthen, plant, or revitalize churches—or can return home, better prepared to address the increasing secularization across North America.
