We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Administrative Assistant to support the Senior Pastor and church leadership team in a flexible, ministry-focused environment. This position is ideal for someone who values meaningful work and needs a schedule that can adapt around family, school, or other responsibilities. Most hours are flexible and include a blend of in-office and remote work opportunities depending on church needs and weekly activities.
As a key part of the church team, you’ll help keep communication, events, volunteers, and office operations running smoothly while supporting the ministry and care of our church community.
Qualifications
A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a desire to reflect His character
Able to interact with a variety of individuals in a professional, tactful, and courteous manner
Belief that the Bible is the inspired Word of God
Self-motivated and dependable
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task effectively and manage competing priorities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
What You’ll Do
Communication & Ministry Coordination
Help keep the church connected through clear and timely communication
Draft and send church-wide emails, announcements, and ministry updates
Coordinate service details including baptisms, testimonies, and special events
Track prayer requests and assist with follow-up care needs
Scheduling & Organization
Knowledge of Planning Center or an ability to learn
Coordinate event details and send reminders to ministry leaders and volunteers
Help ensure meetings, events, and ministry activities stay organized and on schedule
Member Care & Volunteer Support
Maintain church contact lists and volunteer records
Create volunteer sign-ups and help coordinate ministry teams
Prepare materials and packets for services, meetings, and special events
Office Administration
Help maintain a welcoming and efficient church office environment
Manage office supplies, printing, copies, and incoming mail
Maintain forms and records including volunteer applications, child registrations, and background checks
Support special projects and administrative needs as they arise
Work Environment & Flexibility
This role includes both in-office and remote work opportunities, with a schedule that offers flexibility around your availability whenever possible. Occasional additional hours may be needed during special events or seasonal ministry activities.
