Position Overview
- The High School Ministry Director will, under the supervision of the Family Ministry Pastor, provide leadership, development and direction for the High Ministry of CVCC.
- The High School Ministry Director will actively participate in the implementation of strategies for the expansion and increased impact of the High Ministry of CVCC
- The High School Ministry Director will recruit and train volunteer leaders for the High Ministry of CVCC
- This is a leadership position with the potential of greater responsibility to include overseeing the entire student ministry.

Job Description
- Develop and create comprehensive strategies and ministry plans for pursuing and discipling high school students.
- Hands-on leading, planning, coordinating and implementing, all regularly scheduled Sunday and Wednesday High programming.
- Actively participate in the recruiting, training and coordinating of volunteer leaders for all High Ministry activities.
- Build and maintain relationships and engage with parents and other family members of students.
- Develop, plan and oversee major ministry events such as – summer camp, winter camp, serve opportunities, evangelism opportunities, etc.
- Assist and collaborate with other leaders on major ministry events such as VBS, sports camp, mission trips, etc.
- Oversee, manage and administer High ministry budget.
- Collaborate with Family Ministry Pastor, Executive Administrator and Senior Pastor to ensure seamless integration of High School Ministry with overall CVCC ministry strategy.
- Other responsibilities as necessary or as assigned by the Family Ministry Pastor or Senior Pastor.
Qualifications
- Meets and commits to Biblical leadership qualifications
- Strong background in Biblical Studies. Bachelor’s degree is required. Candidates with a seminary degree preferred
- Ministry experience in youth/student ministry required. Student/youth ministry experience in churches with over 800 weekly attendance preferred.
- Ability to teach and communicate the Word of God to students
- Experience in recruiting, training, planning and delegating
- Must be a self-starter, problem solver and a team player
Compensation: Depending on candidate qualifications either 1) exempt status, range: $54,080 – $68,640 per year or 2) non-exempt status, range: $23.50 – $26 per hour to start. Plus CVCC full-time employee benefits.
