Since the extraction of US forces and the fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban beginning in August 2021, the Afghan population of Minneapolis/St Paul has risen from ±300 to well over 4000. The vast majority of these resettled Afghans are devout Muslims representing numerous unreached people groups. In God’s wise plans, He has also guided a handful of Afghan believers to the Twin Cities.

Funds raised will provide short- to medium-term assistance to brothers and sisters from the underground church, including those who by God’s grace and provision will eventually relocate to the Twin Cities as refugees but also as the household of faith. Funds raised will also entail more of a long-term focus with the creation of a ministry center modeled after the House of Omeed in Vancouver, BC operated by BGC-Canada missionaries. Our prayer is the emergence of a gospel movement evidenced by a local expression of the Afghan church engaged in disciple making here, near, and far.
