Story

We believe Deaf people are among the least-reached in the world—98 out of 100 have little to no access to the Gospel. With an estimated 70 million Deaf globally and over 350 distinct Deaf people groups, they remain one of the largest unreached populations. We believe Deaf people are part of the “finish line” of the Great Commission, and our calling is to equip and empower Deaf believers to become reproducing disciples of Jesus. Whether through bi-cultural church models, Deaf churches, or house churches, our vision is to see multiplying movements that bring the Gospel to every Deaf community.

Our journey began in Bible college in 2001 and has been shaped by years of ministry, personal trials, and God’s faithfulness. Jonathan grew up as a Child of Deaf Adults, fluent in sign language, and served in Mexico learning Mexican Sign Language and Spanish. Michelle’s passion for the Deaf started as a teen when she saw a Deaf woman sitting in church without interpretation. From adoption challenges to the loss of our daughter, Edyn Grace, our story reflects resilience and obedience to God’s call. Today, as Global Workers with Converge International Ministries, we are dedicated to using our gifts and experiences to ignite Gospel movements among the Deaf worldwide.
