As the holiday season fades and we settle into the rhythms of a new year, I’m filled with excitement and hope for what God is doing in the northeast. This is a time of fresh beginnings, renewed vision, and meaningful momentum. Across our region, we see evidence of God’s hand at work through growing partnerships, bold church planting initiatives, and deeper investments in ministry leaders.

Let me share just a glimpse of the incredible ways God is moving in and through Converge Northeast:

  • We continue to welcome more churches into the Converge family via affiliation. This growth is a testament to the collective vision and commitment to our shared mission.
  • Across the northeast, we are deploying dedicated church planters, paving the way for vibrant new communities of faith. This February and April, we are sending five pastors and their spouses to the Converge Church Planting Assessment Centers as potential church planters. Please be in prayer for them!
  • We are partnering with churches to revamp and develop a robust residency program aimed at equipping and training young ministry leaders. This initiative will ultimately create a strong leadership pipeline to serve our local churches, ensuring that our congregations are led by well-prepared, passionate followers of Jesus.
  • Our commitment to nurturing relationships within the ministry has led us to double our Advance Teams in the region. We are launching new pastor gatherings in Southern Connecticut, Eastern New York, and Central Massachusetts, fostering a sense of unity and mutual support among our leaders.

We are humbled and privileged to be a small part of God’s incredible movement in the northeast. My recent prayer has echoed the words of the prophet Habakkuk: "O Lord, I have heard of what you have done, and I am filled with awe. Now do again in our times the great deeds you used to do." (Habakkuk 3:2). Over two centuries ago, God’s mighty power swept through the northeast, awakening a generation to know, love, and follow Jesus. I believe God is on the move in the northeast, and who’s to say he won’t do it again? Come, Lord Jesus.

As we hit our stride in this new year, I invite you to join me in praying for our region. I am deeply grateful for you, your ministry, your love for Jesus, and your heart for his people. You are loved!
