The Apostle Paul said, “Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you” (Philippians 4:9).

Some of our best and brightest pastors and leaders will derive incalculable benefit and blessing from having mentors who can help them navigate their life and ministry questions about budgeting, staff hiring/firing, facilities, spiritual stamina, visioneering, managing family, dealing with disappointment, and so much more. I know of no couple better equipped than Larry and Karla to support and encourage our leaders.

Pastor Larry and Karla Adams, lead pastor and wife at Golden Hills Community Church in Brentwood, CA, for 35+ years, have recently passed the baton of leadership to a hand-picked, well-qualified successor couple with almost unanimous support of the congregation (98.7%). Over their 35 years in service, Larry was able to shepherd a church plant with about a dozen people to emerge as a regional church with a weekend attendance of 4,500. Larry and Karla have become a real source of encouragement and wisdom to pastors locally and across the nation.

We are pleased to announce that they have agreed to serve part-time as Ministry Mentors for Converge PacWest ministry couples. We are recommending select churches for them to focus on in this mentoring capacity. Pastor Larry will also be available as an advisor to churches who are at a crossroads and need keen insight when weighing their options. In so many ways, we’re asking the Adamses to share their experience—so others can “learn, receive, hear, and see… so they, too, will know what to do and how to do it with God’s help!”
