Brian and Pam Thompson are launching a new church called Easel Outreach. Brian is an artist who works for the U.S. Treasury. He designed the $100 bill. Brian is also a pastor who has a heart to reach the artist community of greater Washington D.C.

Many artists have trouble connecting with traditional churches. Brian envisions a relational ministry that affirms artists and empowers them to serve the Lord. Artists have powerful talents that engage culture and help people think differently. Easel Outreach will be a church that mobilizes people to use their God-given talents to impact the community in the name of Jesus.

“I relate to the man named Bezalel in Exodus,” said Brian. “He was an artist called by God, and Moses empowered him to make the Ark of the Covenant. Many people worshipped God because of Bezalel’s faithfulness. I want to help more artists find their calling to serve the Lord.”
