One by One Haiti Relief

Hurricane Irma recently ripped through the Caribbean Islands, affecting communities in Haiti where Converge ministers through One by One Haiti, which partners with Haitian churches and schools to develop local Christian leaders.

Torrential rains and sustained tropical force winds associated with the hurricane have caused flooding and significant damage to infrastructure and bridges.

Through One by One Haiti, Converge provides food, a Christian education and basic healthcare to children. You can play a role in caring for and ministering to those affected by the hurricane in Haiti. First, pray for those that are left in great need by the storm, both physically and spiritually. Pray also for the ministers who are living out the gospel as they serve others, and for the relief workers on the ground.

Next, make a financial gift to the relief efforts. One by One Haiti has identified three areas of immediate need:

  • A generator for ministry at Melchizedek Baptist School in the Central Plateau city of Maissade (estimated cost: $12,000).
  • Transportation funds (shipping and ground transportation) for food donated to Converge One by One from Children's Hunger Fund (estimated cost: $10,000).
  • Converge One by One will administer medical and community health clinics in four communities as planned in October 2017. Funds are needed to assist with pharmaceuticals, hire national doctors, etc. (estimated cost: $3,000 to $5,000).

Thank you for your prayerful concern and willingness to help. In times like this, we are reminded again that we are better together.
