Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • BA/BS degree required or commensurate experience in like roles
  • High level experience and proven skills collaborating in a distributed environment
  • 5 years experience in a large church setting

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Oversee the Church Strengthening and Coaching Systems for CNC collaborating with Converge National Strengthening Staff Team
  • Establish effective office administration protocols and procedures in areas such as: finance, HR, property issues and facility purchases, closings etc.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the operation ofCNC
  • Responsible for Communications functions of the office including written, printed, social media etc.
  • Other duties, as assigned


  • Administrative position help through current and/or added staff
  • Projects include: clarification and organization of CNC staff, HR restructuring, managing church closings, assist in sharpening and implementing the CNC mission and vision, financial oversight of CNC budget and fundraising
  • Job title would be CNC Operations and Strengthening Director

Evidence of successfully accomplishing the task of Strengthening Director:

  • Leading the churches of the CNC in fulfilling the strengthening goals of 10-year vision, including:
    • Each one reach one – helping local congregations increase their evangelistic efforts
    • Each one raise one – helping churches create effective discipleship pathways
    • Each one start one -helping churches be involved in church planting
    • Each one send one – helping churches engage in cross-cultural/continental missions
    • Growing from 7 to 15 churches with residencies
    • 95% of Lead Pastors in coaching relationships
    • 100 trained coaches
    • 90% of churches investing in CNC financially
  • Developing and leading a district wide Church Strengthening Taskforce Expanding Coaching Groups and LEAD Teams (Raise up regional strengthening champions/coaches in all areas of our region)
  • Create/implement church health diagnostic tools and help churches develop strategies for improved health
  • Create/implement strategies/training to help churches improve in health, in areas such as:
    • Generosity
    • Board/pastoral relations
    • Evangelism
    • Preaching
    • Etc.
  • Oversee the ministry transition process for our district churches
  • Create a church crisis intervention team
  • Assist the Executive Minister in the implementation of the vision of the larger district ministry in areas that include, but are not limited to:
    • Recruiting partner churches
    • Preaching in churches
    • Providing articles for our publications
    • Representing the district at church or regional events
    • Trouble shooting, etc.
