TROUT LAKE CAMPS

Fall Retreats

This fall we had a series of youth retreats. Not only was it an amazing chance for students to get away and enjoy the outdoors, but a number of them made significant spiritual decisions:

  1. 28 accepted Jesus for the first time.
  2. 269 rededicated their life to Christ.
  3. 23 want to go into full-time ministry.

We always ask students what they liked most about our retreats. Here's what a few of them said:

  1. “Being able to talk to may friends about faith.”
  2. “I loved learning more about God’s amazing love at Trout.”
  3. “Eggs and Bacon!” (Because, well, teens.)

Here's what a youth leader had to say:

"Such a blessing to be here with these young people. This weekend gave them a sweet bit of normal. Thank you thank you for serving us and even more for serving Jesus.”

Looking Ahead

We're so grateful we were able to have fall retreats and camp this summer despite the restrictions, and we're even more thankful everyone had fun and stayed safe.

This past summer we proved we can offer a fun camp experience while following all safety protocols and keeping everyone healthy. No matter what happens with COVID-19, we'll continue to follow guidelines and put together the best camp experience we can.

We've released our 2021 schedule, which includes winter retreats, spring retreats, preparation for summer camp, summer camp itself, and fall retreats. This year we're opening registration for summer camp earlier than ever. Registration for 2021 summer camp opens on December 1.

Now more than ever people need a chance to get away and take care of themselves. Be sure to check out all our events and extend those opportunities to your congregation.

Take Care of Yourself

That need for self care extends to leaders like you. Take some time for yourself to unplug and refresh. We've got a Pastor's Study Break retreat in early January and a Sweethearts Retreat in February. Please take advantage of these opportunities.
