Summer grows children’s ministries in Mexico

Factor Fe Guadalajara, Mexico

Dan and MeLinda Nelson, Converge missionaries in Guadalajara, Mexico, had a busy summer with MeLinda taking six leaders for a trip to the U.S. and hosting a team from Denver for Vacation Bible School.

During the first-ever VBS for Factor Fe, the church the Nelsons planted in Guadalajara, Dan and MeLinda hosted a team from Stapleton Fellowship Church in the beginning of August. About 30 volunteers helped put on the fun-filled and active Bible-based event. The church hopes to build a bridge for outreach to the community. More than 80 kids, ages 5-14, attended.

MeLinda took a trip to Denver with six volunteers to learn more about children's ministries. As Factor Fe grows, so does the children's ministry and its team. The team had a great time learning tools to raise the bar higher to reach into the hearts of children.

The Nelsons previously planted two Latino churches in the Denver area, before moving to Mexico in 2006 to continue their church planting ministry.
