Students make an impact in Panama

Youth ministry team Minnesota

Converge missionaries Susan and Glenn Herschberger welcomed a group of 11 students from Bethel Baptist Church, Owatonna, Minn., for a week-long mission in Panama City, Panama, March 21-28.

The Herschbergers report: “During the week we had the opportunity to distribute almost 2000 invitation cards in over 90 hotels, restaurants, apartments and businesses and hang up more than 40 posters around the city as an invitation to attend LifeBridge International Church services. It was impressive to witness this team deal with hot and humid conditions. The temperature really does zap your energies. This group exhibited real Christ-centered unity while on mission in Panama. We realize this team made an impact while here and their efforts were invaluable to our mission.

The students also did a great job developing and strengthening relationships with a local International English-speaking school, they were warmly welcomed and encouraged to return. Many of the students had the opportunity to share the gospel message and their personal faith story. We are grateful as this team opened doors we could not do alone. Their efforts are already producing results, we have had new people visit us this past Sunday and others calling us with interest.”
