Nebel and Fagerstrom attend Church Planting Leadership Forum

Senior vice president Doug Fagerstrom and Church Planting director Tom Nebel joined approximately 120 evangelical denominational leaders to discuss the most recent trends and advancements in U.S. church planting at a November 16-18 summit in Nashville, Tenn. The networking event was sponsored by Lifeway (SBC) and hosted by church planting expert and author Ed Stetzer.

Fagerstrom stated, “It was a rich time of new information. We also gathered insights from peer denominational leaders to assist Converge in church planting methodology.” Keynote speakers included Forge Mission Training Network founder Alan Hirsch and church planting expert Bob Logan. “The upfront and personal interaction with leading authors and theologians makes this event an annual highlight,” said Nebel. Converge Church Planting is ahead in its five-year goal toward starting “at least 351” new churches.
