LEAD team studies church planting prospects in Peru

Latin America LEAD Team members in Lima, Peru

The Latin America LEAD Team met in Lima, Peru, February 24-28 for training and to conduct a feasibility study of Lima. On Thursday and Friday the team of 17 people interviewed 14 individuals and traveled to three different communities around Lima with the goal of collecting data for the possibility of planting a new English-language international church in the Lima metro area.

Present were Jimmy Martin from the International Baptist Convention, Dan Maxton, Converge Worldwide point person and pastor Glenn Herschberger, Panama City, Panama church planter, LEAD Team captain and point person for the feasibility study. Pastors from Costa Rica, Brazil, Peru, Panama and the USA also participated. We sensed that God was working in the city of 9 to 10 million people. Please pray that God raises up a church planter team.
