Post your current or other recent prayer letters on your Converge profile page: All prayer & newsletters must be in. PDF format in order to be posted on the Converge website. Please review your content carefully (we do not edit content, grammar or punctuation). Email all prayer & newsletters to: prayerletter@converge.org

 

4. Videos
Create or re-make your ministry promo video: While in Orlando, you have the option to work with our Connections team to produce a personal 2-3 minute video to help advance your MPD and other mission work efforts. There is no cost to you for making your video!

  • Appointees: Every MPD “Focus” Orientation automatically schedules all attending missionary appointees for a filming session.
  • Home assignment missionaries: Kindly make a 6-week advance request with the Connections Team to schedule your video. Send in your video request.

5. Converge Website Profile
Update your Converge website profile/bio page: please send all updates to jessicap@converge.org.

  • Profile picture
  • Missionary Donation ID #
  • Video (your video)
  • Field Location map or other donor-friendly graphics/artwork
  • Bio Description (please have Roger edit first)
  • Facebook, Twitter, Blog or Personal Web Links 
  • Current Status (i.e., Appointee, On the Field, Home Assignment, Special Assignment)
  • Current Monthly Funding percentage

 

6. Brochures
Order your ministry brochure: Our brochures are 8.5 x 11 printed inside and outside on 70lb opaque paper. Brochures cost $105 for #250 (printing cost only; the design is complimentary from the Connections Team); the printing cost will be debited from your account.

7. “How to Support a Converge Missionary” Form
Order your personalized copy: This PDF is an example only. To order your own personalized copy (embedded with your name and your missionary account number), email Roger at rogerp@converge.org.

In your email please provide:

  1. your name(s) exactly how you want it to appear, and
  2. your missionary account number.

 

8. IM Endorsement Letter
Request your personalized copy: An IM-endorsement letter from our Executive Director, Ivan Veldhuizen, may help you with your MPD efforts among Converge churches and other potential ministry partners. This PDF contains three examples of what an endorsement letter might read like. To request your own personalized copy, email Kim with your request at kims@converge.org.

This is the normal process:

  1. Draft #1: In your email request, attach an MS Word document containing your proposed draft letter written by you; follow the formats and ideas presented in the PDF examplesjust make sure it accurately represents you and your situation!
  2. Draft #2: Converge will edit for accuracy, general typos, and semantic flow (based on our understanding of what our IM Executive Director would likely say about you and your missions work).
  3. Draft #3: You’ll make any suggested changes to draft #2, and send those back to Converge.
  4. Draft #4: Our IM Executive Director will make sure the letter represents everything accurately.
  5. Final: IM will print the final copy, with Ivan’s signature, on Converge letterhead, and upload a PDF to your personal IM site (within the Office 365 portal) you can print and use when appropriate.

 

9. Postage Paid, Pre-Addressed “Green Envelopes
Order your green business reply envelopes: For missionaries or appointees raising new financial support, providing your new donor with a business reply envelope (postage-paid and pre-addressed to Converge, Arlington Heights IL) makes it much easier for your 1st-time donor to begin his/her support.

Order your envelopes from catherineb@converge.org, following this process:

  1. Quantity: specify the number of “green” business reply envelopes you need.
  2. Shipping: provide your name and complete postal shipping address.
  3. Write in Your Name & Missionary Account Number: once you receive your “green” envelopes, be sure you print neatly your name and missionary account number on the top line of each envelope before distributing.

 

10. 5-yr Ministry Plan
Download: Use this Word Template to design your personalized 5-Year Ministry Plan. When writing up your personal 5-Yr Ministry Plan:

  1. Keep it to just 2 pages!
  2. Print it up on just 1 page (front and back).
  3. Consider printing on a nicer quality paper stock (white paper stock is usually best).
  4. Make sure you carefully edit every word in the template example, making sure all the text reflects you (and not the example given in the template). 
  5. Have another set of eyes proof this document before you print it.
  6. Make sure your personal contact information, and financial giving instructions, appear at the end of this plan.

 

11. 2-pg Case Statement
Download: Use this Word Template to design your personalized 2-page Case Statement. When writing up your Case Statement, follow the same six steps in #10 above.

 

12. Power Point Slide Presentation
Download: Use this Power Point Template to design approximately 12 slides to use for your MPD presentation. When preparing your slides:

  1. Keep it to just 12 slides or so.
  2. Make sure you carefully edit every word in the template example, making sure all the text and all the photos and graphics reflect you (and not the example given in the template). 
  3. Have another set of eyes proof these slides before you use them.
  4. Make sure your personal contact information, and financial giving instructions, appear at the end of this plan.

13. Pull-up Display Banner

Order your pull-up table top display banner: Our banners are 2' x 3' printed on vinyl. A banner cost $195 + shipping. (Design is complimentary from the Converge Connections Team.) Printing cost will be debited from your account.
