Story
Hello! My name is Kenly Key, and I am a sophomore at Grand Canyon University studying Christian Ministry. I have a deep passion for Missions and a love of learning about different cultures, I find it fascinating. I have always wanted to spend time overseas, learning and experiencing different cultures. Both my parents have traveled and lived overseas and would always share stories with me about different languages, traditions, and landscapes they observed. It helped grow a passion in me to learn all I can about others, not only in the United States but globally. When I felt called into ministry, I had that same urging to go out to the Nations. God has been continually working in my heart and placing opportunities for me to serve the Church in a global context and I could not be more thrilled to pursue this path. I look forward to the adventures and challenges that lie ahead.
The Alliance for Transatlantic Theological Training (AT3) is an organization dedicated to equipping future leaders with the skills and insights needed to effectively minister in a post-Christian culture. This summer, I have the incredible opportunity to serve in a local church in the UK for ten weeks through AT3. This experience will allow me to witness firsthand how God is moving in the UK and how the Church continues to thrive and adapt in a society that has increasingly turned away from traditional Christian beliefs. During this internship, I will be stepping out of my comfort zone in an exciting and challenging way. I will have the privilege of discipling and sharing the transformative love of Christ with people who may never have heard of Him before. I am eager to immerse myself in the culture of the UK and to see the unique challenges that the church faces in this cultural landscape. I am excited to see how God will use this time to shape my understanding of ministry and to deepen my commitment to sharing the Gospel in meaningful ways.
