Melton began service with Bethlehem Star of Peace (BSOP) in 2006 in Bangkok teaching English as part of the Santisuk churches there. Then in 2007 Melton became one three pioneers on BSOP’s Team Cambodia. Melton and Meaw met through mutual friends while he was still serving in Thailand. Their relationship blossomed and they experienced a long-distance courtship when he was serving in Cambodia. After their marriage, Melton returned to Thailand and they have served together in southern Thailand since 2009. In 2016, after seeing a strong local church established in Takuapa district, they moved from the coastal region, where there are now a few small churches established, to concentrate on starting churches in the area around the provincial capital. Melton and Meaw have now built good relationships with neighbors, business contacts, in local schools, and in government offices. They have established a small group of believers who will become the nucleus of the first established church in the capital city. Their strategies include outreach among youth and families thru tutoring, English classes, music classes, home Bible studies, and prison ministry. Initial worship services have started in one village on the outskirts of Phang-nga City. In the future, regular worship will begin with contacts and seekers in the city itself. 
Melton and Meaw spearhead a Bible quiz program among the Christian youth of the province. The latest Bible quiz gathering of youth from seven churches brought 50 youth participants plus parents and church leaders who were enthusiastic cheerers. To strengthen existing believers Melton preaches in various churches and meets with church leaders to encourage them regularly. 

Converge partners with Bethlehem Star of Peace and Philippine churches to send highly equipped Filipinos to reach unreached people groups in SE Asia. They partner with Converge cross-cultural fieldworkers and others in starting and strengthening churches.
