Converge welcomed a diverse group of 14 missionary candidates and one intern from different ages and stages in life and ministry to its Missionary Discovery & Assessment in Orlando, Florida, July 20-23, 2021. It was the largest group to participate in the evaluation period since the beginning of the global pandemic in early 2020. This session also continued a trend of increased diversity throughout the Converge movement, as God led one candidate from Brazil and another from the Democratic Republic of Congo to participate and discover their call to missions.

Missionary Discovery & Assessment is a Sprit-led time for candidates to discover more about God, themselves, others and their call to ministry. During the three days, Converge assessors evaluated the candidates for spiritual, emotional and relational health and suitability for serving cross-culturally worldwide.

All 14 candidates received a “Go,” which means they are ready to serve in cross-cultural ministry with some recommended preparation.

We are asking God for a gospel movement among every least reached people group ― in our generation. To see God accomplish this vision, we are preparing to deploy more than 350 global workers over the next five years. Learn how you can play a part in reaching people across the street and around the world with the gospel.
